The Fourth Annual Jim Mora Celebrity Golf
Classic Raises over $211,000 for Children’s Charities

Participants in the Fourth Annual Jim Mora Celebrity Golf Classic had much to celebrate – a gorgeous sunny day out on the course, contests & prizes each hole, delicious food and beverages throughout the course – all to help raise funds for children in need in greater Seattle. The 2010 Jim Mora Celebrity Golf Classic, held at The Golf Club at Newcastle on June 28, 2010, raised over $211,000 for charities in Washington. The tournament helped raise funds to specifically support the Boys & Girls Club of Bellevue, Special Olympics Washington (SOWA), the Nutrition and Fitness for Life Program at Virginia Mason, as well as other children’s charities to be determined through the Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation’s next grant cycle in August.

Ninety-eight golfers participated in the tournament. Each participant enjoyed breakfast, compliments of Blazing Bagels and Tully’s Coffee, then played 18 holes on the beautiful course, with breathtaking views of the city. Lunch out on the course was provided by Azteca Mexican Restaurant, Famous Dave’s BBQ, Ivar’s Seafood Restaurant and Bar, Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge, and Marination Mobile. After a round on the course, golfers and other guests enjoyed an invitation to the post event, the 19th Hole Happy Hour / Awards Bash and Auction Dinner. Each participant also received customized golfer tee bags packed with goodies including shirts, hats, t-shirts, balls and more. There were fifteen special contests out on the course, including longest and straightest drives, closest to the pin and hole in one contests. A prize was given to one person in each fivesome in nine of the contests! All 20 teams enjoyed a beautiful day of golf, mingling with friends and celebrities, while taking home fun prizes including; a customized pair of sunglasses, courtesy of Oakley, Tiffany & Co. golf key chains, team prizes, and great memories.
